Corporate Porn

Phenomenology of organizational obscenity and currents of resistance

Corporate Porn is an art project by the collective DMAV, created in partnership with Decentral, that investigates the language of organizations and its contradictions.

When language stops meaning anything

Words, acronyms, and stock phrases are twisted to bring back into view what habit has made invisible.

PDCA becomes Plan Do Check Fuck
DE&I becomes Diversity, Equity & Illusion
HR becomes Human Remorses

The collective

DMAV is an art collective exploring the relationship between art, society, and organizations.

Its work spans different media and formats, questioning the symbolic systems through which we construct reality and the forms of power those systems enable.

Corporate Porn emerged from a partnership with Decentral and has grown through contributions from a network of cultural organizations, businesses, and research partners.

A project that takes shape where art and work stop being separate worlds and start asking each other questions.

Putting words on display

Porn Fragments emerge from meetings, presentations, and corporate documents, becoming images, installations, and sound pieces.
The exhibition brings Corporate Porn to galleries, cultural spaces, workplaces, festivals, and events.

The "Re-enchanting Organizations" workshop

The workshop uses participatory performance, applied theater, and improvisation to gather, dismantle, and rebuild the language of the organization.

The process leads to the creation of the New Language Manifesto: shared words, principles, and commitments to carry back into organizational life.

Every organization has a language that deserves to be heard.

Tell us about yours

Now it's your turn.

What kind of language does your organization use? Corporate Porn Machine brings the research into the digital realm: enter a word from your organization’s vocabulary, see it from a different perspective, and try to break free from formulas that have lost their meaning.

The Var Group experience

A new organizational model and a new language

Var Group is a partner of Corporate Porn because it believes in the generative power of language.

Over the past three years, Var Group has undertaken a deep organizational transformation, moving toward a model built on distributed responsibility. The process made clear that values, tools, and rules are indispensable but not sufficient: building a different kind of organization also takes words that can give it shape, make it understandable, and turn it into lived experience.

Because language doesn't just describe reality — it steers it. It gives meaning to what we do, shapes behavior, and helps define what becomes possible. Sharing words and meanings is also a way of building a compact between an organization and its people.

This is the awareness behind the bond with Corporate Porn: not simply a project about language, but an invitation to recognize the phrases that hollow out meaning, to question the words we use every day, and to ask ourselves, together, what kind of organization we want to make possible through the way we speak.
